As a part of the grand opening, cake and refreshments will be given out, as well as the raffling of two firearms.
“The Maxwell Exchange is pleased to offer a variety of handguns, rifles, shotguns and ammunition to the sporting community at Maxwell,” said Ralph Kleemann, Maxwell BX manager. “This new assortment will complement our already wide selection of hunting, camping and outdoor gear.”
The Grand Opening will last two days - Feb. 17 and 18 – where customers will be able to take advantage of special discounts and giveaways.
Customers purchasing firearms are required to follow the installations guidelines for carrying firearms on base. Pamphlets will be handed out to patrons who purchase firearms. Those who would like more information about transporting firearms on and off base can contact the Base Defense Operations Center at 334-953-7222.
The Maxwell BX firearms counter is open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sundays.
