Although McGee-Tyson AFB and Whiteman AFB remain a couple of the most common locations to send senior airmen to gain desired leadership skills, this is the first time that Offutt AFB has been available.
Senior Airman Daniel Howe with the 139th Security Forces Squadron, Senior Airman Brian Dolan and Tanner Johnson with the 139th Maintenance Squadron attended the five week course in Nebraska.
Leadership from the 139th Airlift Wing attended the graduation of the senior airmen. Command Chief Master Sgt. Randy Miller, Chief Master Sgt. Mark Richie and Steven Crenshaw, and Lt. Col. James Meyer supported the three new graduates during this monumental step in their military career.
During the course Airmen spend time within the studies of profession of arms, warfare, leadership, international security and communication. The Community College of the Air Force grants college credits for the completion of the course.
ALS is required to attain the rank of Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.
