    EVENT: Press Conference to announce grant award

    WHERE: McGill Training Center, USAG Fort Meade

    Fort Meade Garrison Commander, Col. Thomas S. Rickard will join Anne Arundel County Executive Steve Schuh and the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC) in a press conference to discuss the award of a $4.3 million U.S. Department of Labor National Emergency grant.

    The National Dislocated Worker Grant will provide re-employment services to transitioning service members and their spouses throughout Maryland in an effort to assist with local employer demand for highly skilled workers. The funding will also go to benefit service members at Joint Base Andrews, Naval Air Station Patuxent River, and Aberdeen Proving Ground.
