    Mission support group gets new commander

    139th Airlift Wing

    The 139th Airlift Wing hosted a change of command ceremony for its mission support group at Rosecrans Air National Guard Base on June 4 in the fuel cell.

    Col. Gordon Meyer, commander of the 139th Mission Support Group, relinquished command to Lt. Col. Bryony A. Terrell, commander of the 167th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, West Virginia Air National Guard.

    Meyer has been selected to attend the U.S. Air Force Air War College at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala. The school is designed for senior military leadership and is one year long.

    Terrell will be the commander of the 139th Mission Support Group while Meyer is away.

    Terrell comes from a unit that flies the C-17 Globemaster III and has experience flying as well as working in support and maintenance positions.

    The 139th Mission Support Group is made up of various support units including civil engineering, firefighting, contracting, security, communications, logistics, environmental, human resources, emergency management, services, and the family readiness program.
