Bozzer and Redden flew from Ramstein AB, Germany, to tour and visit with Airmen at the 728th Air Mobility Squadron, a tenant unit at Incirlik AB that falls under the 521st AMOW command.
The 521st AMOW is assigned to the United States Air Force Expeditionary Center, Air Mobility Command, with headquarters at Ramstein AB. They provide all command and control, en route maintenance support, and air transportation services for theater and strategic air mobility missions in Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
While here, Bozzer and Redden were escorted around the 728th AMS to get an in-depth look at daily operations and procedures the Airmen perform.
“We have a great partnership here with the 39th Air Base Wing,” said Bozzer. “We really appreciate the support they have given us as a whole. The 728th Airmen here are such hardworking and professional individuals, especially during the ordered departure when they not only said goodbye to their families, but also to those they were assisting during the process. I’ve seen their dedication to the mission and I couldn’t be more proud of the work they’re accomplishing.”
Since their last visit here in October 2015, Bozzer and Redden were introduced to some of the squadron’s new equipment, techniques and personnel. Additionally, 521st leadership was able to participate in hands-on demonstrations and interact with Airmen from the different work centers in the squadron.
“It was an honor to host Col. Bozzer and Chief Redden here,” said Lt. Col. George Buch, 728th AMS commander. “We were able to show them the incredible things our Airmen accomplish and how they are contributing to the overall mission. The 728th AMS operates at a high, efficient level, and we were able to exhibit that for them.”
