    Navy Expeditionary Combat Command

Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) announced its April Civilian of the Month, Mar. 30, recognizing an analyst with the Type Command’s Strategic Business Office.

Don Lesh oversees the capturing, analyzing and reporting of Operational Availability to the fleet commanders and in that role he examines focus areas for improving force generation process across all Navy Expeditionary Combat Force (NECF) capabilities.

“Don has worked across NECC and NECC Pacific staffs and directly with Readiness Pillar leads at U.S. Fleet Forces Command and at the Echelon IV's to ensure thorough analysis, review, and accuracy of the NECF Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP),” said Nancy Harned, Executive Director, NECC.

Lesh, who retired from active duty at the rank of commander in July 2011, appreciates being recognized by NECC for contributing to the operational readiness of the expeditionary forces.

“I am humbled to be recognized in this fashion, but the real credit goes to the staff for developing processes and capturing the data necessary to do meaningful analysis,” said Lesh.

NECC is an enduring warfighting force providing sea-to-shore and inland operating environment capabilities across the full range of military operations that is focused on delivering combat effective expeditionary forces ready for worldwide operations now and into the future.
