Clifton is a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CRBN) noncommissioned officer with the Ishpeming-based Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 107th Engineer Battalion. She has been a member of the Michigan National Guard for four years.
Zeman, is an Electronic Warfare Specialist, with the Ishpeming-based 107th HHC. EW specialists supervise and perform military action involving the use of electromagnetic energy to determine, exploit, reduce, or prevent hostile use of the electromagnetic spectrum (such as disrupting enemy communication systems and protecting U.S. systems and other electronic equipment). He has been a member of the Michigan National Guard for eight years.
Both Soldiers conducted annual training at the Fort Polk, Joint Readiness Training Center in Leesville, La., March 14-26, 2016. As part of the national C2CRE-B team, these Soldiers were a part of the service members providing the following capabilities: chemical, radiological, decontamination, medical, logistical, and search and rescue skill to meet the needs of the affected communities.

With operations at three airfields, two major training bases and more than 40 armories around the state, Michigan National Guard Soldiers and Airmen are ready to provide a wide-range of disaster response and other support to civil authorities, while maintaining a high degree of combat readiness.
