    20th CBRNE Command

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. - It is official. The 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives (CBRNE) Command has a new sergeant major. Command Sgt. Maj. Kenneth M. Graham assumed responsibilities as the highest ranking enlisted member of the 20th CBRNE Command during his Assumption of Responsibility ceremony at the Stark Recreation Center in Aberdeen Proving Ground on Mar. 4.

During the ceremony Brig. Gen. William E. King IV, 20th CBRNE’s commander, passed the colors of the 20th CBRNE Command to Graham entrusting him to lead the troops in all challenges to come.

“With more than 5,000 military and civilian employees dispersed across 19 government installations in 16 states, I recognize that this will not be an easy task,” said Graham, “But we are not alone in this. We have a great staff… competent leaders across our formation, most of which I know very well. Together, there is nothing we can’t accomplish, and we will not fail our nation or its citizens.”

Graham’s most recent assignments include sergeant major for the U.S. Army Chemical Materials Agency in APG; command sergeant major for the of the 48th Chemical Brigade and later of the U.S. Army Operational Test Command both at Fort Hood, Texas.
“Melony (his wife) and I are no strangers to the 20th CBRNE Command and the greater APG area,” added Graham. “We are excited to be back and look forward to rekindling old friendships and building on new ones.”

Graham has also been deployed several times to the Middle East and Europe, and some of his awards include two Legion of Merit, three Bronze Star Medals, five Meritorious Service Medals, Saudi Arabia-Kuwait Liberation Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, NATO Medal, Combat Action Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Royal Canadian Airborne Wings, Air Assault Badge, and the Drill Sergeant Badge.
