    364th Expeditionary Sustainment Command

MARYSVILLE, Wash. - The 364th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) hosted a Senior Leader Workshop for all its subordinate unit leaders at the Marysville Armed Force Reserve Center Jan. 19-21.

The purpose of the conference was to provide the 364th ESC Commanding General, Brig. Gen. Gregory Mosser the opportunity to communicate directly with his subordinate level command teams. The interactive communication was aimed at ensuring a shared understanding and alignment on Army and 364th ESC priorities. During the three-day dialogue, the group focused on building and sustaining readiness and on improving efficiencies of matters surrounding their logistics mission.

Mosser said his top three priorities are readiness, leader development, and Soldier care. Based on Mosser’s vision, unit commanders will help lead the ESC to being the most highly regarded ESC in the U.S. Army Reserve that embodies the Army Values and is ready to deploy. The leaders also discussed issues surrounding recruiting, retention and strengthening community ties.

The workshop wrapped up with a town hall meeting with the new 79th Sustainment Support Command Commanding General, Maj. Gen. Mark Palzer who asked leaders to consider some of the reasons why Soldiers first joined the Army while they are developing training and mentoring them — Adventure, Challenge and Experiences.

“Give Soldiers something that will make them go home and excitedly say, ‘Let me tell you about the great things I did during battle training assembly today,’” Palzer said.
