III Marine Expeditionary Force can confirm there is an active search and rescue operation ongoing for two unaccounted aircraft.
The U.S. Coast Guard is the lead response agency on the scene. The aircraft are from the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing from Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
