FORT BLISS - The 1st Armored Division and Fort Bliss welcomed Brig. Gen. Frazer Lawrence as the deputy commanding general (operations) at a ceremony held
at the 1AD Old Ironsides Museum in Fort Bliss, Texas, Nov 23.
Lawrence represents one of only three British one-star general officers serving as deputy commanding generals and the first foreign deputy general assigned to the 1st AD.
During the ceremony Maj. Gen. Stephen Twitty, commanding general of the 1AD, affirmed he was excited to gain Frazier's experience, leadership and all he has to offer the 1AD before going on to tell 1AD leaders to expect great things from Lawrence.
Lawrence acknowledged the subtle differences in culture and language he has noticed so far during his time in the U.S. but share what matters when it comes to military values.
