FORWARD OPERATING BASE KALSU, Iraq – After receiving four rounds of incoming fire, March 24, Soldiers conducting area reconnaissance detained several local military-aged males in conjunction with the attacks.

Soldiers of Troop C, 6th Squadron, 8th Cavalry Regiment, began to search historical point of origin sites for incoming fire after Forward Operating Base Falcon was hit.

During the search, the group detained eight suspects, three of whom tested positive for explosives residue.

All eight detainees were transported to Falcon for questioning.

No injuries were sustained during the indirect fire incident.
