    Q & A with Warrior

Q: How long have you been doing your job?

A: I've been in my job for 2 years.

    Q: What are your goals?

A: I am planning on re-classing to 25M (Multimedia Illustrator) and then I am considering going green-to-gold to become an officer.

    Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I enjoy art, music, golf, basketball, hunting and hiking.

Q: What do you like most about the Army?

A: I enjoy the chances to explore new places and meet new people on a daily basis.

Q: What would you change about the military service life?

A: I would let junior enlisted live in off-post housing.

    Q: Describe your military career.

A: I work in the communication field as a 25 uniform, and I get to have a little taste of each branch of the field. I am in the 18th MP Brigade. I have been in this unit since I joined the Army, and it has been the greatest adventure of my entire life.

Q: What do you like most about being stationed in Germany?

A: I love the ability to travel all over Europe. It is so accessible, and it is truly amazing. Germany is a new experience, and everything over here is so much different.

Q: What is your favorite movie genre?

A: Action movies are my favorite genre.

Q: What are you most proud of?

A: I am most proud of the relationship that I have with all of my younger siblings.

Q: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you want with you (not survival gear, but things with personal meaning)?

A: I would want a picture of each one of my sisters with my grandpa, a CD with the song, "God Bless the Broken Road," by Rascal Flats and the knife that my father gave me when I was 5.

Q: Name someone who has influenced or inspired you during your military career (could be a leader, mentor, peer or subordinate) and explain why.

A: Master Sgt. Lucero, my supervisor, has inspired me because of the fact that he showed me that when you reach the point of thinking that you cannot do any more, you just need to push a little harder, because your own mind will always hold you back a little bit from giving everything that you can give.

Q: If you could meet one individual, alive or dead, who would it be and why?

A: I would like to meet Michael Angelo because I want to ask him what was his motivation and inspiration for his artwork in the Sistine Chapel. The artwork is truly magnificent, and I know I have a hard time finding inspiration. It's awe-inspiring to see the quality of the work that he did and in the time period that he completed it. It’s truly amazing.
