BAUMHOLDER, Germany - Pfc. James Rogers, a motor transport operator with the additional duties of company armorer and barracks program assistant with the 51st Transportation Company, 39th Transportation Battalion, 16th Sustainment Brigade, and a native of Louisville, Ky., is this week's 21st Theater Sustainment Command Warrior of the Week.

Q: How long have you been doing your job?
A: 11 months.
Q: What are your goals?
A: I would like to do whatever I ‘am tasked to do well.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I love traveling and sports shooting.
Q: What do you like most about the Army?
A: I‘ve been entrusted to do my job without any interference.
Q: What would you change about the military service life?
A: So far, I wouldn’t change anything.
Q: Describe your military career.
A: I graduated basic training in April 2014 and completed advanced individual training in June 2014, at Fort Leonard Wood. I currently work as a motor transport operator with additional duties of company armorer and barracks program assistant with the 51st Transportation Company, 39th Transportation Battalion.
Q: What do you like most about being stationed in Germany?
A: I love the opportunities for travel and am able to visit family in The Netherlands.
Q: What is your favorite movie genre?
A: Action movies.
Q: What are you most proud of?
A: I am most proud of being in the military and having the ability to take care of my family.
Q: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you want with you?
A: I would want my wife, my dog, and a photo of my Ford F-150 alongside my family.
Q: Name someone who has influenced or inspired you during your military career and explain why.
A: I am inspired by 1st Sgt. Louis Steinke because he is a great leader who mentors Soldiers and he instilled his trust in me by making me an armorer for the company.
Q: If you could meet one individual, alive or dead, who would it be and why?
A: I would like to meet John Wayne because I always wanted to be a cowboy.
