    16th Sustainment Brigade

MIHAIL KOGALNICEANU, Romania – Soldiers from Task Force Warhammer Forge in Romania assembled and disassembled a Forward Arming and Refueling Point at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base for Atlantic Resolve-South.

The mission of Atlantic Resolve-South is for the United States to demonstrate its continued commitment to collective security through actions designed to reassure North American Treaty Organization allies and partners of America's dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region.

The FARP operations training was the first one conducted in conjunction with Marine Corps and 3rd Infantry Division Soldiers at MK Air Field. The training focused on Aviation Refueling Operations to extend the operational reach throughout U.S. Army Europe, African Command, and Central Command.

Soldiers also received instructions on medical evacuation procedures in a combined training event with the Marine Corps and the Romanian army.

The 16th Sustainment Brigade Command Team of Col. Michelle Letcher and Command Sgt. Maj. Maveric Ledbetter interacted with Soldiers during breakfast and lunch, giving them the opportunity to receive feedback on the importance of their mission in Romania alongside our allies. Their support sustains a strong Europe.

Warhammer Forge provides land forces to support Atlantic Resolve-South, providing sustainment throughout the area. The multinational sustainment and interoperable partnership capacity expands mission command, freedom of movement and logistical support throughout Romania, Bulgaria, Baltic States, Poland and the European Rotational Force.
