    Fort Hood hosts welcome ceremony for III Corps deputy commanding general

    FORT HOOD, Texas - III Corps and Fort Hood will host a welcome ceremony at 9 a.m. Aug. 4 for the deputy commanding general for maneuver at the III Corps Headquarters flagpole here.

    Maj. Gen. John Uberti will serve as DCG for maneuver for III Corps and Fort Hood.

    Uberti, is originally from Merrick, New York, and was commissioned in 1983 upon graduation from the U.S. Military Academy. Prior to his arrival to Fort Hood, Uberti was chief of staff, United States Strategic Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, where he directed and synchronized the activities of the command staff by developing and implementing policies and procedures in support of the commands mission.

    Media who wish to cover the ceremony must register here. On Aug. 4, media should meet public affairs representatives in the Southside parking lot of the Fort Hood visitor's center at 8:15 a.m.
