FORT BRAGG, N.C. - Maj. Gen. Darrell K. Williams will relinquish command of 1st Sustainment Command (Theater) to Maj. Gen. Paul C. Hurley, Jr. 10 a.m., Aug. 3, at Ritz-Epps Physical Fitness Center.
Williams, a native of West Palm Beach, Florida, has commanded 1st TSC since January 2014. As the 1st TSC commander, he also serves as U.S. Army Central’s deputy commanding general for support.
Hurley has served over 29 years, beginning his military career in 1986 when he was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Texas A&M University. He currently is the deputy chief of staff, G-4, U.S. Army Forces Command.
Lt. Gen. Patrick J. Donahue II, FORSCOM deputy commanding general, will preside over the ceremony.
Williams leaves the 1st TSC to be the commanding general of Fort Lee and the U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command/Sustainment Center of Excellence at Fort Lee, Virginia.
