JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska - Members of the Alaska Air National Guard's 176th Operations Group, who support five missions, received their new leader at a change of command ceremony here July 15.
Lt. Col. Tom Bolin accepted responsibility for the group as Col. Darrin Slaten relinquished it to fill a FEMA position as liaison to the Office of the Secretary of State.
Bolin brings with him over 26 years of military experience in both the Navy and the Alaska Air Guard, serving in numerous operational and staff positions. He aims to do his best in his newest position.
"I will strive to live up to the expectations of my leadership and the Airmen of the group," Bolin said.
