    FORT HOOD, Texas – Media representatives are invited to attend the retirement ceremony for Chief Warrant Officer 5 Jeanne Pace, former commander and bandmaster for the 1st Cavalry Division Band, Friday, July 10 at 3 p.m. on Cooper Field.

    Pace is retiring after 43 years of service in the Army. Serving most recently as the 1st Cavalry Division’s commander and bandmaster, she originally enlisted in 1972 in the Women’s Army Corps Band.

    She is the longest serving female warrant officer, last member serving of the 14th WAC Band, and among the longest tenured female Soldier in the Army’s active duty component.
