The Soldiers of the 4th Sustainment Brigade are scheduled to host a redeployment ceremony on Friday, June 5, at 6 a.m. on Fort Hood.
Approximately 150 Soldiers from the 4th Sustainment Brigade are returning from a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan where they assumed authority from the 10th Sustainment Brigade, 10th Mountain Division late last year in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
During the deployment, the brigade stood up forward logistical bases across the Combined Joint Operations Area-Afghanistan, executed retrograde and closure of several Forward Operating Bases, and the de-scoping of Enduring Bases as part of their Sustainment operations.
Media interested in attending the ceremony should RSVP with 1st Lt. Barry Stevenson, 310th SC(E) Public Affairs at barry.e.stevenson2.mil@mail.mil or 731-363-0698 no later than Thursday, June 4 at 6 p.m. Media representatives should arrive in the parking lot at the Marvin Leath Visitors Center media parking area on Friday, June 5 by 5:15 a.m. to depart for the ceremony no later than 5:30 a.m.
