FORT HOOD, Texas - Fort Hood officials will recognize their top volunteers for 2014 at the Fort Hood Volunteer of the Year Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. April 22 at Club Hood here.
Maj. Gen. Kendall P. Cox, III Corps deputy commanding general, will be the guest speaker for the ceremony.
During 2014, approximately 7,500 volunteers worked more than 126,000 hours equating a savings of approximately $2.8M in labor costs.
Thirty-seven volunteers will be recognized for their service from January through December 2014.
