    Atlanta VA Medical Center to Host 2015 Health Innovation Challenge

    DECATUR, Ga. The Atlanta VA Medical Center, alongside Forge and the VA Center for Innovation, will host the 2015 Health Innovation Challenge April 10-12 in the Pete Wheeler Auditorium of the medical center, 1670 Clairmont Road Decatur, Ga. The event will begin at 5 p.m. and span a 36-hour innovation sprint.

    The Department of Veterans Affairs Interim Under Secretary for Health Dr. Carolyn Clancy will deliver the keynote address. During the address, Clancy will discuss the state of innovation across the Veterans Health Administration, the United States largest integrated health care system. The keynote address will begin promptly at 6 p.m.

    The event, designed to develop solutions to real problems facing healthcare, will challenge participants to leverage technology while creating a better healthcare experience for our nation's veterans.

    This is an exciting opportunity for our veterans and the Atlanta VA Medical Center is grateful to host some of the best and brightest developers, engineers, designers and other professionals that the country has to offer, said Medical Center Director Leslie Wiggins.     This is Forges second annual Health Innovation Challenge and the first in collaboration with the Atlanta VA Medical Center and VA Center for Innovation.
