WHAT: U.S. Army Central is hosting a State Partnership Program information exchange with adjutant generals from South Carolina, Arizona, Colorado, Mississippi, Montana and Virginia. Representatives from five of the states' adjutants general offices will provide state partner briefs defining their capabilities and objectives for their partner countries, located within the U.S. Army Central area of responsibility.
WHO: The host of the event is Brig. Gen. David P. Glaser, U.S. Army Central chief of staff.
WHERE: Patton Hall, 1 Gabreski Drive, Shaw Air Force Base, SC 29152
WHEN: Feb. 26, 2015, at 1 p.m.
WHY: U.S. Army Central will host an information exchange with the six states listed above, discussing their current and future plans with their partnering countries, within the U.S. Army Central area of responsibility. The SPP has been successfully building relationships with foreign nations for over 20 years, which currently includes 68 unique security partnerships involving 74 nations around the globe. SPP links a unique component of the Department of Defense – a state's National Guard – with the armed forces or equivalent of a partner country in order to build a cooperative, mutually beneficial relationship.
