FORT LEE, Va. – Customers looking for great deals on food for their football parties need only shop their local commissary.
“Every year, the shopping days leading up to Super Bowl Sunday are some of the commissary’s best,” said Tracie Russ, DeCA’s sales director. “That’s because our customers know that the best place to shop for their party needs is the commissary.”
This year’s Super Bowl is Feb. 1 and customers will see promotions and sales geared toward traditional football party food. Customers should check their local commissary for details on dates and times of the following promotions:
• The “Super Bowl: Score Big with Kraft” promotion features 2 million coupons worth $1.3 million, and 92 televisions and three $50 Commissary Gift Cards will be given away to stateside patrons. Fourteen televisions will be given away to patrons overseas. From Jan. 25 to Feb. 1, Commissary Rewards Card holders will also have access to a $1.50 off coupon on fresh produce, a produce tray or ground meat, including chicken, when they buy two participating Kraft items.
• Frito-Lay is a national sponsor for this year’s Super Bowl, and they are offering several high-value coupons for various chip purchases.
• Commissaries worldwide are offering special savings on traditional football party foods such as Bagel Bites, Taquitos, Mozzarella Dippers, Apple Turnovers and more.
• Commissaries will also feature the following items for about $1: Andy Capp Snack Cheddar Fries, Cascade Ice Water, French’s Chili Mix, Corn Nuggets (assorted flavors), Knorr Swiss Gourmet Vegetable Dip Mix, Pringles Chips, Lipton Onion Soup/Dip Mix, Armour Summer Sausage, Brigford Italian Salami and Brigford Turkey Pepperoni.
• Commissary deli and bakery operations are featuring 10 percent off wing and party sub platters in all stateside commissaries. This offer is not available in overseas commissaries.
• Commissaries also have savings on soft drinks, juices and water.
“Our customers have come to trust their commissary to provide great products at great prices,” Russ said. “It’s one convenient, money-saving trip for everything needed for the big game.”
