MONROVIA, Liberia - The Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC) deployed personnel from its three subordinate joint commands – the Joint Planning Support Element, the Joint Public Affairs Support Element and the Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE).
The 60 JECC personnel deployed in support of a comprehensive U.S. government effort led by the U.S. Agency for International Development in coordination with international partners to help the governments of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone respond to and contain the outbreak of the Ebola virus.
As part of this effort, 39 JCSE personnel maintained and operated mission-tailored communication packages at various sites to provide uninterrupted connectivity to meet mission requirements. See the accompanying photos for more details on JCSE’s ongoing efforts from Monrovia, Liberia, while in theater supporting Operation United Assistance.
