BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan – Afghan National Security Forces, assisted by Coalition forces, distributed dozens of toys to children in the villages of Rigak and Sakhar, Oruzgan Province, Dec. 13.

ANSF wanted to build rapport with villagers and thank them for their continued support of the ANSF and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

While receiving the toys, which included boxes of stuffed animals, the children, ranging from toddler-age to teenagers, laughed and shouted as they crowded around the soldiers handing out the gifts.

"The children smiled as ANSF and Coalition forces handed out dozens of toys. The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan truly cares for Afghans and children who may be less fortunate," said a Coalition soldier. "This was a great way to foster good relations in an area that has experienced significant turmoil."
