KABUL, Afghanistan - One International Security Assistance Force soldier has been killed and eight civilians injured when a suicide bomber struck an ISAF convoy in Regional Command Capital today.
"Our hearts go out to the soldier killed and the civilians wounded in today's attack," said Maj. Charles Anthony, ISAF spokesman. "ISAF remains committed to bringing security to Afghanistan so development can progress. We will never forget the sacrifice this soldier has made to help improve life for the Afghan people."
In accordance with ISAF policy, ISAF does not release the casualty's nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
