CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait – The 3rd Personnel Services Command cased their colors Aug. 29 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, as they prepare to return to the United States after a year-long deployment.
Third PERSCOM deployed to Kuwait in 2006 to provide personnel services to Soldiers that are fighting the war in Iraq and those that support them.
The command provided postal services; implemented leave, rest and recuperation and pass programs; and provided awards and promotions, personnel replacement and casualty reporting services among others.
The command's colors will remain cased until all their troops return home.
The 8th Human Resource Sustainment Center from Hawaii is replacing the 3rd PERSCOM.
