PARWAN PROVINCE, Afghanistan –Afghan National Security Forces graduated from an Explosive Hazard Response Course in Baghlan province, Jan. 23.
The two-week course was designed to teach Afghan Local Police and Civil Mine Reduction Group members how to enhance security and to counter improvised explosive devices.
The training received by the twelve graduates will enhance capabilities to provide security to Afghans throughout the province as they teach other ANSF members the newly-learned techniques.
Afghan Local Police provide the people of Afghanistan a viable alternative to supporting insurgents. As a the link between the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and local governments, ALP enables Afghan communities to stand with their national government, secure their families and protect their property.
