U.S. Army Col. Ivan P. Beckman was promoted to his current rank during a ceremony presided over by Eighth Army commanding general Lt. Gen. Bernard S. Champoux.

His wife, Haerin Lee Beckman, and daughters, LeeAnn P. Beckman, Annadele J. Beckman and Isabel K. Beckman, attended the ceremony here at the U.S. military headquarters post in Seoul, along with his parents, Quad City residents Ann E. Beckman and Philip M. Beckman.
