NAVAL AIR STATION FORT WORTH JOINT RESERVE BASE, Texas – Dorothy Patrick was recognized as the 8th Marine Corps District’s Civilian of the Year, announced during a formation Nov. 27, here.
Patrick, the purchasing agent for the district, earned this title by outshining her peers through her superior performance and dedication.
“I am so thankful to have received this honor,” said Patrick. “It is great to be recognized for the hard work that I have put in.”
She loves helping out the Marines and looks forward to many more years at the district, she said.
“Anyone who has ever met Dorothy knows that she is a different than the typical individual, which sets her apart from the rest of us,” said Capt. James Munn, the district supply officer. “She puts her heart into everything she does and her work ethic is truly outstanding.”
Patrick also earned a Certificate of Commendation along with the title.
