    99th Readiness Division

HERSHEY, Pa. – A Yellow Ribbon event is scheduled to be held Nov. 23-24 at the Hershey Lodge here.

Hundreds of redeploying service members from several branches of service and their families are scheduled to attend the event, which is being hosted by the Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command.

Maj. Gen. Margaret W. Boor, commanding general of the 99th RSC, is scheduled to attend this event, her first since assuming command on Oct. 1, 2013. Prior to her current duty assignment, Boor was the Deputy Director for Logistics Readiness, J4 (IMA), Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Washington D.C.

As the Commanding General of the 99th RSC, Boor is responsible for administrative, logistics and facilities support to more than 51,000 Army Reserve Soldiers in 454 units at 332 reserve-component facilities and 33 maintenance facilities in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island and the District of Columbia.

The Yellow Ribbon Program is a Department of Defense-wide effort to promote the well-being of Army Reserve and National Guard members, their families and communities, by connecting them with resources throughout the deployment cycle.

Through Yellow Ribbon events, service members and loved ones connect with local resources before, during, and after deployments. Reintegration during post-deployment is a critical time for members of the Guard and Reserve, as they often live far from military installations and members of their units.
