FORT HOOD, Texas - The Aug. 14 afternoon session of the court-martial of U.S. v. Maj. Nidal M. Hasan heard more testimony by forensic pathologists.

The testimony of the two medical experts provided evidence of the cause and manner of death of Spc. Jason D. Hunt, Capt. Russel G. Seager and Staff Sgt. Justin M. DeCrow.

In all three cases, the medical examiners attributed the deaths to injuries suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.

Evidence was entered to include autopsy photos, bullets, bullet fragments and autopsy diagrams, which assisted in explaining the location and trajectory of the bullets.

When the panel was dismissed, the judge, Col. Tara Osborn, reconsidered stand-by counsel’s request to reconsider their role.

Their motion was once again denied. This request was done in conjunction with more discussion of the accused's release of protected medical information.

After consideration of the 702 board record released by Hasan to the media and the waiver by Hasan of his protected privilege, the judge ruled that she would not order the release of the full document to the prosecution.

More testimony from forensic pathologists is anticipated to begin at 9 a.m. Aug. 15.

The accused, Hasan, is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

On Aug. 15, satellite trucks should report from 6-7 a.m. to the Fort Hood Clarke Road Gate on West Highway 190.

Reporters and photographers should check in at 440 Plaza on Fort Hood Street, Killeen, Texas, from 6-7 a.m.

NOTE: Only those media outlets who have preregistered for the original June 5 panel selection and subsequent trial will be granted access.

All media should be prepared to show a U.S. driver's license with photo and an accredited press badge with photo.
