    Donated school supplies to help military children

    BISMARCK, N.D. - North Dakota National Guard’s Military Service Centers (MSCs) in Bismarck, Fargo and the Family Assistance Centers in Minot, Grand Forks, Valley City and Devils Lake will be participating in a school supplies drive for school-aged children of military members and veterans.

    Operation Homefront has partnered with Dollar Tree, Sam’s Club and Walmart stores across the state who have donated school supplies.

    RDO Equipment Company (RDO) in Bismarck will deliver supplies to the Bismarck MSC at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12. RDO is also donating 50 backpacks to military families. Supplies will be distributed at various National Guard locations across the state.

    School-aged children of military members and Veterans will be able to pick up school supplies beginning Aug. 15 at all locations across the state while supplies last.

    The Military Service Centers in Bismarck and Fargo will also have an open house Aug. 15 to highlight the services that it offers military members, veterans, retires and families from all military branches. A media advisory will be sent next week with details on the open house.

    WHEN: School supplies will be available for pick up Aug. 15.

    Media is invited to cover supplies drop-off at Bismarck MSC at 1 p.m. Aug. 12 at 1850 East Bismarck Expressway, Bismarck, ND, 58504.

    WHERE: Drop-off will be at the Bismarck Military Service Center.
