MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, Va. – Cheerleaders celebrate the unveiling of Quantico Middle/High School’s first “CANstruction” projection, made entirely of cans, in the school’s lobby on Jan. 7.

Last year Gregory Morin, shop teacher, QMHS, visited the Building Museum in Washington, D.C., where he witnessed several “CANstruction” projects on display. He decided to incorporate those ideas with the school’s annual food drive with assistance from the math and art departments using more than 250 cans to complete the project. Morin hopes this display will spark inspiration and motivate the student body’s creativity and imagination to flourish in future food drives.
