Jason Downs led a discussion as part of the shipyard’s Leadership Insight Series Sept. 15 entitled, “High Road to Leadership at NNSY: Based on John Maxwell’s Book ‘High Road Leadership.’” In this discussion, Downs touched on three of the characteristics of a high road leader—valuing all people, developing emotional capacity, and taking accountability for your actions—and highlighting moments of his career that best showed examples for each.
