RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany - U.S. Army Col. Christian Labra, an Army physician and Purple Heart recipient, was guest speaker at the Ramstein Air Base 9/11 Memorial Ceremony on Sept. 11, 2026. The solemn event was widely attended by U.S. servicemembers, family members and German and American first responders. This event marked 25 years since the terror attacks which claimed the lives of 2,977 people at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Labra, a 2001 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, is currently a physician serving at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.
