Air Force Gen. Steve Nordhaus, chief, National Guard Bureau, hosts Lt. Gen. Dragoş-Dumitru Iacob, deputy chief of defence, Romanian Armed Forces, for an office call at the Pentagon, Arlington, Va., Dec. 11, 2025. Joined by senior leaders, the group underscored the enduring defense cooperation relationship between Romania and the Alabama National Guard through the Department of Defense National Guard Bureau State Partnership Program, established in 1993. The more than three-decade partnership continues to strengthen military-to-military relationships, enhance interoperability and reinforce collective security among NATO allies.
