Military medical providers and others who attended the recent 2026 Combined Pain Skills Training and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Symposium, hosted by the National Capital Region Pain Initiative (NCRPI) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C., participated in several hands-on workshops, including those focused on battlefield acupuncture, massage therapy for pain, dry needling, and osteopathic manipulation for treating pain and dysfunction without drugs and surgery, among others.
