Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Peter Cooke, former commander of the 96th Regional Support Command, is joined by Lt. Gen. Robert Harter, Chief of Army Reserve, University of Utah President Taylor Randall, Assistant Chief of Army Reserve Mr. Stephen "Sully" Sullivan, and several other dignitaries as he cuts the ribbon officially opening the 96th Infantry Division “Deadeyes” Memorial U.S. Army Reserve Center at Camp Williams, Utah, Aug. 8, 2026.
The opening of the new facility marks the transition from historic Fort Douglas to Camp Williams, and honors the legacy of the 96th Infantry Division. The center is home to the Army Reserve's 76th Operational Response Command and 807th Theater Medical Command, both formerly at Fort Douglas.
