Eighteen U.S. Army Reserve and Air Force Reserve officers and noncommissioned officers selected to represent the United States in the 2026 Interallied Confederation of Reserve Officers Military Competition visit Independence Hall in Philadelphia, June 27, 2026. The service members are assigned to six three-person teams and train annually at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, in preparation for the international event, scheduled for August in Europe. The Interallied Confederation of Reserve Officers, known as CIOR, is an international organization of NATO member states and partner nations representing more than 1 million reservists across 34 countries. The CIOR Military Competition is a three-day team pentathlon that tests competitors in pistol and rifle shooting, obstacle course navigation, utility swimming and orienteering, as well as range estimation, map reading and other basic military tasks.
