NEW CASTLE, Del. — A giant American flag is suspended between ladder trucks from the Wilmington Manor Volunteer Fire Company and the Goodwill Fire Company during a Family Day event on New Castle Air National Guard Base, Delaware, Aug. 2, 2026. The local fire departments hoisted the flag over the base main road welcoming family members before a deployment ceremony for 165 Airmen assigned to the Delaware Air National Guard's 166th Airlift Wing.
