Col. Lionel Riley, commander of the 188th Mission Support Group, participated as a panelist during the Connecting Educators to Industry event at Peak Innovation Center in Fort Smith on July 15.
Sponsored by Economics Arkansas, the event brought together K-12 educators from across the state with business and industry leaders to discuss Arkansas' evolving workforce needs and how schools can better prepare students for future careers.
Panelists shared perspectives on regional workforce demands, the skills and experiences employers value most, emerging career pathways, and opportunities to strengthen partnerships between educators and industry. The discussion provided teachers with valuable insights they can bring back to their classrooms as they prepare the next generation of Arkansas's workforce.
