CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (June 24, 2026) – Aviation Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class Juan Almanza, assigned to the “Jaguars” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 60, from El Paso, Texas, reassembles the engine cowling on an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter aboard Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Cooperstown (LCS 23) at Corpus Christi, Texas. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
