Family, friends, local civic officials and senior Air Force leadership attend a memorial service for eight fallen B-52 crewmembers at Edwards Air Force Base, California, June 29, 2026. The June 15 crash claimed the lives(left to right) Lt. Col. Gabriel “Journee” Estrella, Maj. Alexander “SMO” Davis, retired Lt. Col. Miles “Vicky” Middleton, Jeromy “Bobby” Smith, Maj. Brad “Slate” Hovey, Maj. Robert “Bolton” Dee, Col. Gregory “Evil” Watson and Christopher “Hustler” Rischar. The aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff during a routine test mission.
