Maj. Gen. Thomas Feltey, the 1st Cavalry Division commanding general, presented his intent during Warfighter Exercise 26-4 at Fort Hood, Texas, 2 June 2026. WFX 26-4 featured four training audiences including the 1st Cav. Div., the 29th Infantry Div., the 35th Inf. Div., and the 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne). The Mission Command Training Program deployed observer coach trainers to four locations to observe, coach, and mentor these units at Fort Hood, Fort Indiantown Gap, Pa., Camp Atterbury, Ind., and Fort Bragg, N.C. for nearly three weeks.
