Channel excavation is now underway at four of the USACE-led construction sites along the Comite River Diversion!
When completed, the project will be capable of diverting approximately 30,000 cubic feet of water per second, helping reduce flood risk for communities between the Comite and Mississippi Rivers from north of Baker to south of Zachary, Louisiana.
Every scoop of earth moves us one step closer to enhanced flood risk reduction for thousands of residents throughout the Comite River basin.
