PORTSMOUTH, Va. (June 18, 2026) - Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) Interns pose for a group photo during an intern graduation ceremony in the auditorium, June 18, 2026. The interns spent last year studying Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Gynecologic Surgery and Obstetrics, Internal Medicine, Otolaryngology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, or Transitional Year curriculum. Fifteen will be heading out to support the Fleet and/or Marine Corps, eight will be continuing their Graduate Medical Education training at another military or civilian institution, and 55 will be continuing in their training here at NMRTC Portsmouth.
