U.S. Army Soldiers with the 744th Engineer Company, 130th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border in support of Operation Ardent Vanguard, conduct a mirror patrol with an Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV) under the point of entry bridge in Del Rio, Texas, June 10, 2026. Patrolling with the ISV increases mobility and allows units to cover more ground, enhancing detection of suspected illegal aliens attempting to cross the southern border. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
