WEIDEN, Germany - U.S. Army Col. Colin Frament and Command Sgt. Maj. Ilker Irmak, the command team for U.S. Army Medical Department Activity Bavaria, along with several MEDDAC-B Soldiers, took part in the Day of the Bundeswehr (Tag der Bundeswehr) celebration June 6 in Weiden, Germany, The annual open-house event, held at various German military bases across Germany, attracted more than 200,000 attendees. The annual open-house event is designed as a recruiting tool and to raise general public awareness about the Bundeswehr, its mission, Soldiers and equipment. Attendance by U.S. Army MEDDAC-Bavaria reflects their ongoing partnership, collaboration and teamwork with their Bundeswehr counterparts.
